Plug In Emergency Torch Safe T Light
This essential home and office safety light provides a solution to a host of safety requirements. The first is as an emergency power failure light. During a power cut, the lighting head switches to its internal rechargeable battery, providing emergency lighting for approximately 4 hours. The head can then be easily found and removed to provide an emergency torch. In every day use, Safe-T-Light provides non intrusive lighting during the hours of darkness. Its light sensor switches on the lighting head as darkness falls, providing safety lighting for hallways, stairs, etc. Uses less than 1 watt. If you don't want the unit to act as a night light, switch off the torch - it will continue to charge but will not automatically light in a power cut. The lighting head can be easily removed from the main unit at any time to provide a useful rechargeable torch.
Care /Nursing Home emergency lighting
The SafeTLight also has an important role as emergency lighting in care homes, residential nursing homes and other buildings where residents may have problems with vision and mobility. It provides a gentle night light during the hours of darkness and emergency lighting when the power fails - giving both residents and staff peace of mind.
Of course, it's also handy for residential care staff to have a torch nearby for when it's needed. The rechargeable torch will operate for 4 hours before it needs to be returned to its charging / base unit - ideal for looking under beds or in dark cupboards.
Holiday Lets, B&B, and Gites
SafeTlight also has an important role in Non-Domestic premises. Owners of letting accommodation (any building where people pay to sleep) must comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2006 which includes the provision of Emergency Lighting.
The HM Government Guidance Booklet “Do you have paying guests” advice is that plug in rechargeable torches are acceptable in small premises; see link:
